Saturday 15th October preview

We have reached week 4 of the Vitality Women's England Hockey League and Men's England Hockey League. Our W1's currently sit third in the table with 7 points from 3 outings. They are equal on points with Beeston and 2 points behind league-leaders Surbiton who have had three wins from three. The W1's travel to the University of Birmingham on Saturday to play at Bournbrook, the site of the Commonwealth Games this summer. The team will be looking to keep the momentum going from a great performance and 3-1 win last week against Hampstead and Westminster.

The M1's play their third game of the season on Saturday. They are at home to Exeter University, a side who struggled last year in the Premier League. This certainly does not mean an easy fixture for our men. The university side have a number of strong players in their line up and currently sit 5th in the league table with a win, a draw and a loss from their first three outings.

The W2's are at home again this week against Harleston Magpies. The team will be looking for a performance for the full 70 minutes this week after letting a strong first half performance slip later on in the game against Surbiton last week. The team, who are currently sitting in sixth will be hoping to push up the league table this weekend.
