Fancy putting on some kit or have you played in goal before?

Goalkeepers at Wimbledon have access to specialist GK training on a Sunday morning, as well as integrated team training throughout the week.
We have complete beginners right the way through to junior English Internationals.
If you are already member and are interested in trying out goalkeeping, please contact your age-group coach. For new member enquiries, please complete the Junior Hockey New Membership Application Form and we will be in touch.
Don’t worry if you don’t have access to kit, we can provide that for you. We have a range of sizes and makes of kit so our coaches will be able to find something just right for you.
Hints and Tips

Be ready for anything- not losing concentration, be ready when called upon

Good set position- balanced, hands up, Weight forward with everything we do!

Decision making- Being fast and decisive. Learning through error and never hesitating

Do everything you can to save the ball- it’s not all about technique… sometimes it looks ugly! Never give up!

Communication- Understanding the game and having good relationships with your teammates. Using the right communication at the right time, delivered in the right way.
