Having played in South Africa all my life, I have represented my province (Kwa-Zulu Natal) from the age of 14 all the way to a senior level. Competing in Nationals every year in both Indoor and outdoor hockey. During my career I have played 13 years of premier league hockey, winning 5 indoor titles and 2 Outdoor titles. My main highlights of my coaching experience includes winning the National Indoor Title with both the U16 and U14 Girls, as well as securing a Bronze medal with the U16 Boys in the Outdoor Nationals and Gold with the U16 Girls in the same competition. I had the privilege of assisting the South African U18 Girls during an international series against Australia. Since moving to England, I’ve coached the U16 Boys to a Bronze medal in the Indoor Nationals and guided the U14 Boys to Silver medals in both the EH Cup and Nationals. I was 9 years old when I started playing hockey. My hobbies outside of hockey include running ultra marathons, going to the gym, and surfing (When in South Africa). On days off I would either be running, gyming, or looking for a good coffee shop with good company. My hidden talent is that I can clap with one hand. Best piece of advice when playing: “You are only as good as the last thing you do on the ball.” - Brendon Carolan. If I could switch lives with anyone for a day, would definitely have to be Euan Gilmour, just to have that feeling of scoring absolute screamers week in and week out. Also, Siya Kolisi, as he’s the only captain to lift the Webb Ellis trophy twice… in a row.
