TALENT FUTURE'S PROGRAM

Our Talent Futures Programme is a 10 week course designed to give promising 14 -17 year olds a flavour of playing in a high performance environment and is good preparation for the Talent Academy next season (if selected).  The TF will give you an insight into, and preparation towards, the next level of hockey. We will look to prepare athletes for various trials and competitive opportunities that happen over the summer term.

Primarily, our objective with the TF is to meet the needs of the ambitious hockey players across our club and wider.  

Please note, this is independent of the Wimbledon Hockey Club summer programme. The Wimbledon Hockey Club programme will prioritise individual technical development. As mentioned before, the TF is for the ambitious athletes to dip their toes into high performance hockey. 

Initially, there will be a trial phase of two sessions (£15 per session) Please make both if you can. Decisions will be turned around quickly in order for the programme to start.  25 to 30 athletes in each gender who are successful will be invited for the 10 week programme, taking place on Thursday evenings from 7.15pm - 9.00pm from 24th April to 3rd July at a cost of £160 for 10 weeks. 

Best of luck to anyone that wishes to put their name forward. For those who aren't sure about putting themselves out there, be brave. If not selected this time, you will still learn a lot about yourself by going through a process.
